How to make Egyptian Beads?
Specialties is going to reveal the secret. We allow you to copy it, make a business out of it, or purchase them from us in bulk. They are available in many colors and shapes.
You need the following:
- a bowl or container
- all purpose joint compound
- some newspaper
- your hands and preferably NO long nails
- something like a small spoon
- water to clean your hands as quickly as possible after you are done and to prevent the all purpose from drying too fast
Step 1.
Make sure that your all purpose joint compound is supple and soft!
Step 2.
With your spoon or hands take enough joint compound that makes a ball from about 12 mm to 15 mm
Step 3.
Form a ball and make sure to keep the it damp to attach the newspaper to it. The newspaper is supposed to stick to the joint compound, that's why you need the water!
Step 4.
With a round stick, your choice how thick the stick, push the stick through the bead. The stick is going to make the hole in the bead, a big hole or a thin hole.
Step 5.
Cover the ball (bead) with newspaper and let it dry.
Step 6.
After it's dry, paint the bead with a Ralph Lauren metallic paint.
Step 7.
Allow to dry and use it in any kind of jewelry or sell the beads to a bead lover for further marketing purposes.
Of course any size or model is possible. Any imprint can be used. Go out in nature, pick and print, it does NOT need to be perfect!
