Stress can be the result. An injury can be sudden and severe. With this kind of injury, the stress on the horse's musculoskeletal system is so huge that it overwhelms the ability of the tissue to tolerate the entire situation. Nothing else happens than the leg gives up, like a stick breaks when bent by your hands. We always think, nothing is going to happen with My Horse. That's all the more reason to be very alert and make sure to check your My Horse at all times for any signs of stress or trauma, especially before you bring him/her to the stable for the night.
